In collaboration with Yesfor, I chose to mix their girly and drapey chiffon dress with a bit more of the signature grunge I tend to gravitate towards, in the chunky black boots. I’m not really one to wear much pink (or much colour at all, actually), but there’s something about the pale blush shades that i’m sort of drawn towards. Especially when it’s mixed with black.
Forever searching for more loose black dresses with tiny straps - slip dresses please join my family.
On a different note, i’ve been married to my bed, painkillers, and calculators the past few days due to having my wisdom teeth removed and a quickly approaching actuarial exam date coming up. Planning for this week to be a bit more eventful, as its the last week in Calgary before heading back to school for the final year. As always, telling myself I will document the year better through photos. Hoping I stick to that idea this time!
It’s an off day in Calgary when you can comfortably walk around in shorts in January, but definitely on point with some casual venturing around the city.

Finished this painting a couple days back, but just got around to getting some photos of it today! If you have seen my Instagram, you may have seen a preview of this already. This one is sort of reminiscent of the first oil painting I ever painted back in 2009 for art IB.. which i’ll bring back from the dead, here:

All black. Again. (My favorite!)
Pulled this belt out from the back of my closet when doing a bit of cleaning! Its actually my belt that I wore for horse shows a couple years back when I used to do horse jumping competitions! I loved the pattern and color of it though, so i’m super glad it still fits (as a waist belt - no hope in wearing it as a regular belt anymore, unless i’m an 8 year old twig).
Interesting side fact: if you look closely enough, you can see a hint of a scar on my back that happened last year. Oh, I loved the dorms (thanks detachable ladders!).
